Profile

I help organisations identify how to respond to and engage with online social media, and help them implement web 2.0 tools and services for internal and consumer engagement purposes.

I also design websites that have social media at their core, advising clients on content approach and techniques for engaging with online audiences.

I work particularly within the cultural/government/non-profit sector, where audiences are both varied and specialist.

Selected achievements

Created a Twitter feed for a government web conference. Contributors gave positive feedback and agreed the service added considerable value to the event.

Designed a micro-site about the work of National Gallery Associate Artist John Virtue. Developed concept and wireframes for iterative design process. Made effective use of images and AV materials to create a compelling web experience.

Produced a film ‘hub’ providing a resource for learners and information around ongoing film programming at the National Gallery. Re-structured fragmented information and commissioned new content to ensure consistency and make content enticing.

Developed a set of ‘personas’ for use in the National Gallery website re-design project. Captured and interpreted data from several surveys and liaised with Head of Marketing to ensure integration with Gallery strategy.

Designed layouts for new National Gallery intranet. Adjusted proposed wireframes and navigation to improve usability and wrote appropriate ‘plain English’ instructional copy.

Designed and built monthly html newsletter for the National Gallery taking newly introduced visual branding and content needs into account. Worked in an advisory capacity on digital marketing best practice and industry trends.

Actively involved in the launch - and continued monthly production - of the National Gallery podcast. Advised project team of branding considerations on iTunes and mp3 players and briefed editorial staff accordingly. Hand built valid xml feed.
